Village Hall Balcony Railing Bid

When the Village Hall balcony roof was torn off to be replaced, Public Works and Councilman Lon Pardun discovered that the wooden railing was in worse condition than initially thought, and would need to be completely replaced rather than repaired.

It's unclear when the railing was last replaced, but photographic evidence indicates the current size and number of the balusters are consistent with what was historically in place. The balusters are a custom size and need to be hand crafted.

City staff worked with the Restoration Society to get estimates for replacing the historical railing (see bid below). Of the $12,553 total, the Marine Restoration Society has agreed to pay $7,500. The City ff Marine would pay the balance of $5053.
